Glencoe is one of the most beautiful places to escape to in the Scottish Highlands. The weather, even in the summer months, can be wild! Laura and Angel have totally embraced the rain and wind the highlands can bring.

For this intimate wedding, I left a few days early to visit Scotland and its breathtaking landscapes. I landed in Edinburgh, which I highly recommend not to limit yourself to visiting the classic places such as the mile, the castle or the queen’s residence, but to “get lost” in the various streets of the old town.

How many times have you seen Braveheart, Harry Potter or Skyfall and wanted to see the views of the wildest part of Scotland: the Highlands?!

Just by pronouncing the name Highlands you feel the grandeur, the mystery, the desire for adventures that the wildest part of Scotland can transmit to you.

But enough about my trip, we started the day at The Kingshouse Hotel, a beautiful hotel located in the highlands a short drive from Glencoe Valley. We then headed to Glencoe Valley, to have an exciting ceremony.

I couldn’t imagine a better way to get married.

Laura, beautiful, full of desire to live, smiling and sociable, met Angel, a witty, strong and tender man.
They meet by chance, in a distant land by will of fate, they were there for different jobs. They have a mutual friend who introduces them to each other. At the end of the working period they should have separated, but Konrad decides to follow Sarah and give up everything. Authentic and rare love. They therefore decide to organize their elopement in a setting that reflects their adventurous souls.

Two American guys write to me, to tell about their elopement in Scotland.

Once the initial wave of adrenaline was overcome, the real challenge began, crossing Europe to tell the story of their wedding.

I was trembling with emotion, but also from the wind that constantly asked us for a token for wanting to be there to celebrate a sacred rite in a place outside of time and space.

I am happy, overflowing with joy, for having made Laura and Angel’s dream come true, for having met two strong, beautiful souls, with whom a bond of deep friendship as well as professional has been established, I am proud of what we have achieved.

We came down cold, wet, but damn happy and I will never forget the smile I saw on Sarah’s face.

The evening took place at the Ballachulish Hotel, which warmed us up with a festive atmosphere. This place is welcoming and enchanting.
